They Said It Was Her Fault. Daws Legal Proved It Wasn’t
How Tangy Took a Stand—and Won With the Help of Daws Legal
Tangy had the right of way. Traffic had stopped to let her through. But while turning left out of a grocery store, another driver sped through the median and slammed into the rear of her vehicle. Then, he claimed it was her fault. She knew she hadn’t done anything wrong—and that’s when she turned to Daws Legal to help prove it.

What Happened
Tangy was injured in a car crash on July 2, 2024. She was t-boned by another driver as she attempted to cross Hwy. 380 in Little Elm, Texas. The case was very difficult from a liability stand point because there were no independent witnesses and both drivers pointed the finger at the other driver.
Her case was further complicated by the fact that the responding police officer left Ms. Adkins’ side of the story out of the police report, so it looked as if she was the at-fault driver.
Her case was so difficult that a previous law firm had her case and dropped it. We were able to get a copy of the police officer’s body camera footage and depose the police officer, which showed that his report was inaccurate. In doing so, we created enough leverage that the auto insurance company felt compelled to settle her case instead of take it to trial. Her injuries were not severe, but they were important to her. The minor nature of her injuries and difficult liability facts is what made the other law firm drop her case.
We took her case because no case is too big or too small and we knew that even though it would not be a big money maker for us, the case was important to the client.
